The STREAM Project aims to create an innovative flexibility market whose main objective is to establish a flexible ecosystem in the low voltage network of existing energy markets, connecting data, technology, participants, and markets, thereby offering flexibility forecasts.

During the project, the solutions obtained will be adapted for application in 4 demonstrators (Spain, Italy, Finland, and Slovenia), covering the ranges of geographies, economies, sizes, and types of consumers.

OMIE will provide a sMART local market tool focused on the user and on the low voltage side of the power grids to carry out the decision-making processes for before/during/after each period of the auctions of flexibility requirements.

It will be a central platform for flexibility markets' activities, where everyone from flexibility service providers, who will register their devices, to flexibility capacity aggregators and distribution network managers will participate. This way, the DSO will be able to submit its flexibility requirements through this application and therefore trigger a local flexibility capacity auction.
