The Iberian Electricity Market Training Course is directed to all the professionals of the companies, entities, associations and in general to the people interested in a wide range of information about the Iberian Electricity Market and especially to those who are going to participate or are participating as market agents.

The Course on the Iberian Electricity Market adopts an instructive approach explaining the structure and operations of the spot electricity market in Spain and Portugal, covering its regulatory aspects, the submission of purchase and sale bids of energy on the electricity markets and the procedure for their settlement and payment.

The course provides a comprehensive view of each and every aspect of the electricity power production market, including operation practices.

It addresses the sector's regulation and a summary analysis is made regarding the European and Iberian legislation on the liberalisation of the electricity market and its organization in Spain and Portugal.

An explanation is also provided of the actions to be undertaken in order to become a market agent and operate accordingly, as well as the options provided along these lines by the software system of the market operator.

The modules dedicated to the procurement of electricity on the market provide an in-depth study of basic theory, as well as pursuing the necessary practical expertise required for a broad understanding of how it works, in terms of both the submission of bids for the purchase and sale of electricity and for price-setting, and the operations for settlements and payments of the market players.

The practice includes examples of all the subjects studied, exercises in communicating with the market and the practical execution of specific operations for submitting bids, obtaining the results of matching and settlements through the market operator's information system (SIOM).

The course lasts for three days, two of them being full day sessions comprising morning and afternoon and the third day comprising only a morning session.

The course will take place at our premises at Calle Alfonso XI, 6. 28014 Madrid, Spain.

Once the application has been received you will be informed of the availability of vacant places for the course you have requested. Once confirmed the reservation of a place, a pro forma invoice will be sent with the total amount of the course and a period of one week so that you proceed to the payment.

The final confirmation of the place will be made upon receipt of the course fee. Then the final invoice will be sent.

The market operator reserves the right not to held the course if the minimum number of students is not reached.

Cancellation requests will only be accepted, in writing, before 30 days prior to the start of each course. From that date, only the substitution of one person for another of the same company will be accepted.

The total fee of the course is 1.600 € (VAT not included). The fees include all the teaching materials, coffee snacks.

The company that registers participants within the same year in one or several editions of this course would benefit from the following bonuses:

• 10% on the course fee from the second participant included.
• 20% on the course fee from the third participant included.

A certification of attendance will be given to all the attendees who fulfil this requisite.
