Proyecto Singular

The Pallars Jussá Energy Community as an example of innovation

The Pallars Jussà Energy Community is the first Regional Energy Community in Spain with a clear goal: to achieve zero emissions by 2050. Thus, this unique project proposes a set of actions given its highly innovative component at the technological and organizational levels, as well as the expected impact of the project at the social, economic, and environmental levels.

These actions include the project's proposal to deploy solar systems on public roofs with the participation of neighbors in their generation through shared self-consumption. These facilities are planned to be set up in the three most populated municipalities in the area: Tremp, Pobla de Segur, and Isona.

The pilot project also includes the deployment of a solar plant connected to the distribution grid, which would sell the energy to the electricity market and revert the income to the Energy Community and its members, who would be the owners of all the assets deployed.

With this, the goal of the project is to demonstrate the viability of a technology-aided Energy Community participating in the different OMIE markets, both the global markets and the new local flexibility markets.
