The OneNet project aims to create a new generation of services that can fully harness the response for demand, storage, and distributed generation at the same time while also creating fair, transparent, and accessible conditions for the consumer, putting them at the heart of the energy transition.
This vision is intended to be achieved by creating a fully replicable, scalable architecture that allows the entire European electricity system to function as a single system where a variety of markets, products, and services enable the participation of stakeholders at all levels, from small to large producers and consumers.
OMIE is participating in one of the 4 European demonstrators that make up the demo cluster of the western zone, along with other partners from Spain, France, and Portugal. OMIE's mission is to contribute its knowledge about energy markets to collaborate in the design and development of new flexibility markets and their integration with existing markets.
In addition, OMIE will make the platform where the different flexibility markets and local products will be negotiated available to the other participants. Therefore, it will act as a central party in the exchange of information between the DSOs, aggregators, and the different active customers and consumers.
