The V2Market project aims to incorporate the capacity of electric vehicle batteries as an element of flexibility in the electrical system through their integration into the electricity market, making proposals for new business models derived from the participation of consumers and electric vehicle fleets through V2G and V2B technologies.
The European project V2Market consortium is made up of the market operator, marketers and aggregators, public entities, and electric vehicle fleets that seek to harness new incentives for electric vehicle users when using V2G services.
As a Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO), OMIE will provide knowledge about the operation and regulation of the electricity market. In addition, OMIE will make the new trading platforms of the new local markets and those for flexibility available to the project by providing price signals to owners or aggregators of electric vehicles who are looking to incorporate the V2G and V2B flexibility services into the new market models.
