The Dres2Market project analyzes the different renewable generation technologies to be integrated into the markets, evaluates the different energy storage solutions, and investigates the system operation as a whole with the aim of identifying limitations and proposing solutions that enable efficiently meeting the increase of renewables in the system in Europe for the coming years.
The regulatory framework will also be applied to establish the technical requirements for connecting the distributed generation to the grid, exporting energy to the system.
OMIE offers a simulation environment, providing agents with access to global market platforms to meet their needs and assess the impact of the installation of different volumes of renewables and the participation of distributed generation by applying different economic and regulatory assumptions in each scenario. All this will allow OMIE to improve and adapt the existing markets to the needs and changes that arise.
Likewise, it aims to identify the information and economic flows that would be established between the different agents (different alternatives) in order to manage all their integration processes in the most efficient manner possible.
Furthermore, OMIE has the opportunity not only to study the behavior of the integration of different volumes of renewables and distributed generation in current global markets but also to test the platforms for the local flexibility markets.
